The most likely reason for the receipt of this error message is that the user has lost "write" permissions to the BibleWorks folder (x:\Program Files\BibleWorks, where x (usually c) is the "My Computer" drive letter).
If possible, however, first attempt to update the BibleWorks Executable "exe" file by following the instructions here: http://kb.bibleworks.com/index.php?/article/AA-02789 This update may solve the problem.
