The most direct way to restore a BibleWorks installation in which corruption is suspected is to uninstall the program and then reinstall it.  The process has an analogous purpose to to restarting the Windows or Mac OS operating system.

1.  Uninstall BibleWorks using these instructions.

2.  Temporarily deactivate your virus checker.  This step is necessary because a corrupted installation can be caused by the virus checker's mistakenly quarantining needed BibleWorks files during the reinstallation.

3.  Reinstall BibleWorks using these instructions.

4.  Reactivate your virus checker.

5.  Run the BibleWorks updater.  The reinstallation steps will provide an opportunity to update the BibleWorks executable file, but other updates will need to be made in the new installation using the updater.

6.  Close and restart BibleWorks to ensure that the reinstallation has fully succeeded.
